Break Free & Live Bold
Mar 18, 2025
If you caught last week's post, then you recognise that I am experiencing a personal shift at the moment. I’m not sure where this is going to end up, but I am working through the steps to rethink and refocus myself and potentially subsequently my business. I honestly don’t know what the outcome is going to be, but I am sharing because I know that I am not alone.
We all experience moments where something in our life or our business is off. Where we feel tension and we need to take a moment to reset ourselves. There can be loads of reasons why we experience a shift, it could be a life change such as kids starting full time school; a health diagnosis; or just feeling ready for something different.
If you’re experiencing a shift, then I am here with you in the trenches and together we will find a way forward.
So last week I shared what the signs are that something was off for me - a lower tolerance level and starting to snap at the girls and generally feeling a low on energy.
As I shared, I had started to take the steps to reflect and refocus myself.
The first was identifying my strengths for me these are - Planning and systems; Business knowledge and understanding; and Clarity and intuition.
The next step was thinking about my passions - Supporting women (everywhere I’ve lived I’ve supported other women, in networking groups, working groups, PTA, coffee groups); My family (I want other women to feel the same connection and presence that I experience with the girls and hubby); and Growth (I am always learning, always developing and sometimes shifting my perspective to realign, I want this for other women)
So if you’re feeling the need for a shift, this is where you need to start - your strengths and your passions.
That’s a summary of last week, where I also shared that this need for a shift was coming back to me in the form of my last conversation with my dad before he died. It was a really powerful one where he told me “Em, you can do more”. His words have been with me these past few weeks as I’m out walking, or whenever I get a quiet moment.
So fast forward to this week, and continuing to take you on this journey with me. I have experienced a lot more clarity.
Break Free and Live Bold!
This is a phrase that has been with me, again when I’m walking - some of my best ideas come when I’m walking Minty, one of my favourite spots is through the gum trees at the back of the Domain. I feel connected with Dad when I’m there.
Break Free and Live Bold.
I really feel like this embodies who I am, my experiences so far but also what I want to do going forward.
I am not someone who is held back by societal expectations - I have always chartered my own path, and where I couldn’t find one, I created one for myself. No matter where I lived, no matter what barriers were in front of me, I have always broken free.
I do not impose limits on myself. If I don’t know how to do something, I ask. If I am not sure what to do, then I look for the next small step I can take.
Break Free and Live Bold.
I am redefining what success means for me. Like right now, working through this shift. I’m not allowing other people’s definitions to determine where I go next. I am discovering this for myself, boldly.
Yes, it takes courage. And if you tuned in last week, then you know that shedding a tear is not a sign of weakness, but a reflection of how important something is to you. Providing you don’t allow yourself to wallow. Shed the tear, understand why, then put on your big girls pants and keep going LOL!
Break Free and Live Bold!
I am excited! I am excited about where this is taking me and I am focusing on the personal growth I am experiencing as a result.
Why? Because as I continue to grow, so does the impact I’m able to have on those I support, my family, my clients and you my dear friend. You are here with me for a reason and I am grateful for this opportunity to support you.
Break Free and Live Bold!
I am taking this shift, I am blending it with the experiences I have and I can see how it is coming together for me.
If you’re experiencing a shift for yourself then start with your strengths and passions, once you’re clear on these then listen. Listen to your heart! Listen to your soul! I heard my dad “Em, you can do more” and “Break Free and Live Bold!”
I am so excited! Are you? Let’s break free from what is holding us back and let’s start today to live boldly as we pursue our own personal definition of success.
