Change is uncomfortable, and that's a good thing

Personal change is hard. Frankly, if it was easy then we wouldn’t be talking about it.
You know how it goes. You start your week feeling highly motivated, this is the week that you will exercise regularly and eat well, no more sugary treats! By Wednesday you’re feeling too tired to work out and you’re sneaking a little piece of chocolate.
Let’s face it, it’s hard to change our habits. Our mindset and self talk often sabotages our ability to work on our goals. Life gets busy, and personal change feels like it requires energy and headspace that you simply don’t have.
Guess what? There’s still time. It’s not too late and today I’ve got some simple strategies for you.
Play Big
This is your shot at living an amazing life. Be ambitious when thinking about what you want. Consider what you want to be reflecting on later in life. Happy and fulfilled people aren't always the smartest, they are the ones who are brave enough to own what they want. What are you really capable of?
Make you a priority
You know what you want, so make it a priority for yourself. Write down in your diary what you will achieve today, this week, this month. Set deadlines for yourself and if you need help, ask for it. Get clear on how you are going to make yourself, and your life, a priority!
Do what others can’t
We all have that friend, the one who is regularly starting something, but never follows through. Make this commitment to yourself, and keep going even when it’s hard.
Get help
There are people who want you to succeed, who will challenge you to be more. Spend time with them, let them support you on your journey. Ask them directly for help.
Spread your wings
You’ve heard it before, and it is true. You learn and achieve the most when you’re uncomfortable. Change is uncomfortable, and that’s a good thing. It means you’re pushing yourself, extending yourself, driving yourself to have an amazing life. When was the last time you truly felt uncomfortable?
Be proactive, and create the change you need to live a life that makes you want to get up and go in the mornings. And know, the key to all of this is you, you need to be resolute, committed and courageous. Only you can do what’s needed for an amazing life.
