A transition clarity session

The Locate Session

You haven't done anything wrong, and this isn't the end of anything. Your life has brought you to a new stage, and the work now is finding the next step that turns it into a path forward.

That isn't a failure of resilience, and it isn't a failure of anything else. Not knowing where you are yet is part of being in the middle of a transition, and it doesn't mean you're behind.

Who this is for

You've tried things and they haven't worked. You've tried explaining it at home and it hasn't quite landed, partly because you don't have the words for it yet. You're tired in a way that sleep doesn't fix, and it feels as though the world is moving on while you work out how to keep up. You don't need to be able to name your transition to be here.

You might not know whether what comes next is a job or a business. You might have a sense of the direction and still not know what you're doing yet, and you need time to explore it with someone alongside you.

You're somewhere in the middle of something significant. A role that ended, or a move to a new country, or a business you've outgrown, or a business that hasn't turned out the way you planned, or a family shape that's changed, or the quiet realisation that what used to work for you doesn't any more.

You're capable and you've made harder decisions than this one, but you've been circling the same three options for months and none of them feel like yours.

Why one session is enough to be useful

Most women in transition go straight to the question of what to do next, and they make that decision from a position they've never actually examined.

The first piece of work is locating yourself accurately, before you choose anything: what's really changed, what you're carrying forward on purpose, and what you're carrying out of habit or obligation. That's what this session does, and it's the first stage of the method I use with every private client. Once you know where you are, the plan that follows is much easier to trust, and you leave with it in writing.

You can do it once, take what you get, and go and live your life with it.

I was at a crossroads in my life and career and seemed to be making no decisions out of the fear of making the wrong one. In a very short time Emily helped me to see what I value most in life and shifted my thinking from the risks of following my dreams to the risks of not. It became clear what I need to do very effortlessly.

What happens

Before we meet

Your intake questionnaire

It takes about twenty minutes. I read it properly before we start, so we don't spend your session on backstory.

On the day

The session

Ninety minutes, online, just the two of us. We work through where you are now, what's changing, what belongs in the next chapter and what doesn't. We finish by naming the one decision you've been avoiding.

Within three days

Your written action plan

A plan built from what you told me, in your own words wherever I can, so you recognise yourself in it. It starts with where you are now and the future you described, then sets out what sits between the two and what could get in the way. After that come the actions for this week, by the end of the month and in the month after, along with the decisions that are still yours to make. It's written to be sat down with and talked through at home.

Seven to ten days later

A 15-minute check-in call

We have a short one-on-one call, because the clarity almost always arrives the morning after rather than in the room. I want to hear what surfaced once the session had time to settle and what's landed and what hasn't, and you'll get a link to choose a time that suits you.

What you leave with

An honest read on where you actually are, not where you've been telling people you are
The future you want, in your own words, and a clear view of how far away it really is
A clear sense of what's worth letting go of
A written plan for this week, this month and next, with the decisions that are still yours named
Language for the thing you haven't been able to describe

What this isn't

It isn't a discovery call with a price attached. You're paying for the session and the plan, and both are complete on their own. If you decide you'd like to keep working together, the full USD 300 is credited, and if you don't, you've lost nothing.

If you take the plan and never speak to me again, it should still have been worth the money. That's the standard I've built it to.

About Emily

Portrait of Emily Rogers

I've spent 25 years in HR, executive coaching and business transformation across seven countries, and the last decade working almost entirely with women in transition. I created Transition Intelligence to describe the thing I kept watching: that women can be extraordinarily resilient and still lose themselves in the process of getting through.

The Leap To Lead started in Taipei in 2018 as Expat Parenting Abroad and was rebranded in 2022, so I know what it is to work out a next step while still in the middle of it.

I'm based in Bangkok and I work with women across time zones.

…it took all of a month and a networking session, led by the wonderful Emily Rogers, to realise that not one part of me wanted to do this anymore.

Questions

What if I'm not ready?

Nobody ever says "I've got all the information I need, my life is perfectly timed, let's do this." The women who move forward are the ones who go in even when it feels hard. What helps is working out what ready would actually look like for you, and that's something we can do together in the session. Trying to work it out alone is lonely, and a lot of what we do together is taking that part away.

What if I can't name my transition yet?

That's a common place to start and it's genuinely fine. Not being able to name it is information, and it's often the first thing we work out.

What happens after the session?

You have your written plan within three days and a 15-minute call seven to ten days later to talk through what's settled. If I think something longer would serve you better I'll say so once, and the decision stays with you. If you choose to continue, your USD 300 is credited in full when you start within 90 days of your session.

What if I've already done a lot of coaching?

Then you'll probably move quickly. This session isn't remedial and it assumes you're self-aware, so we can start further in.

Is the session recorded, and do you use AI?

With your permission I record the session, and I use AI to help assemble your plan from your questionnaire and the recording, working from your own words. Every plan is shaped and finished by me. Recordings are kept for six months so I can support you if you have questions after the session, and then they're deleted. They're stored in my secure drive, and I'm the only person who has access to it.

Is it online only?

Online for everyone. If you're in Bangkok and would rather meet in person, ask me when you book.

What happens after I pay?

You'll go straight to my calendar to pick your time, and the intake questionnaire arrives with your booking confirmation. It takes about twenty minutes and I'll ask you to send it back at least two days before we meet, so I've had time to read it properly.

What if I need to move my session?

Move it as many times as you need to with 48 hours notice, using the link in your confirmation email. Life in the middle of a transition doesn't run to schedule and I'd rather you came when you can actually think.
